Henkel – BONDERITE®

BCD Chemie and Henkel have maintained a close partnership for over 30 years, built on intensive and trust-based collaboration.

With many years of experience in BONDERITE® products (formerly P3 products), combined with strong commitment and a specialized technical field service team, BCD Chemie has become an established distributor of BONDERITE® products throughout Germany.

Henkel’s BONDERITE® brand offers a comprehensive portfolio in the fields of cleaning, coatings, metal pretreatment, and metalworking.

BONDERITE® Cleaners and Degreasers

Alkaline Cleaners

Alkaline cleaners are used in spray, immersion, and ultrasonic baths and are typically recommended at the beginning of BONDERITE® processes. Their main application is metal cleaning and degreasing. They remove organic contaminants such as: oils, greases, dust and pigments.

Applications:
  • Maintenance and operational cleaning
  • Process cleaning
  • Industrial use
  • Special applications

Neutral Cleaners

It is essential to remove all unwanted substances, including machining fluids and chips, from the metal surface before the next process step. Neutral cleaners not only clean but can also provide temporary corrosion protection.

Applications of neutral cleaners include:
  • Intermediate and final cleaning
  • Post-assembly cleaning
  • Temporary corrosion protection

BONDERITE® Pickling Agents and Neutral Rust Removers

Acid Cleaners and Pickling

Acid pickling is a necessary step in substrate preparation before applying a conversion coating.

Acid cleaners remove inorganic contaminants such as:
  • Oxides / rust
  • Lime deposits (scale)

BONDERITE® Metal Pretreatment and Conversion Coatings / Passivation

BONDERITE® metal pretreatments set industry standards for corrosion protection and paint adhesion.
These sustainable, high-quality products combined with excellent service help improve your processes. The broad portfolio of BONDERITE® conversion coatings enables treatment of metal surfaces using immersion and spray processes. With its New Generation Coatings (NGC), Henkel offers an environmentally friendly alternative based on nanoceramics, free from phosphates and heavy metals, suitable for multi-metal substrates.
Coatings and Applications;
  • Iron phosphating
  • Zinc phosphating
  • Manganese phosphating
  • Nanoceramic coatings – multi-metal capability (NGC)
  • Light metal surface treatments (chromium-based, chromium-free technologies, anodizing)
General Benefits of Henkel Pretreatments
  • Lower process costs
  • Reduced number of process stages / baths
  • Simple and flexible application
  • Multi-metal capability
  • Multimetallfähig
  • Excellent corrosion protection and paint adhesion
  • Low sludge formation

Metalworking fluids

Water-miscible metalworking fluids BONDERITE® L-MR are state of the art.

Boron- and Bactericide-Free Metalworking Fluids

The boron- and biocide-free range of metalworking fluids ensures safe and health-conscious metal machining. Use boron- and biocide-free coolants and lubricants to enhance your performance, reduce your costs, and improve your sustainability footprint.
  • Up to 30% lower consumption → reduced costs and transport-related CO₂ emissions
  • Free of bactericides → more skin-friendly
  • Extended service life → less waste
  • Improved machine cleanliness due to finely dispersed emulsion
  • Enhanced machine cleanliness through a finely dispersed emulsion

BONDERITE® L-MR 21718

This boron- and bactericide-free, water-miscible metalworking fluid is ideal for general machining of steel and gray cast iron, as well as for non-ferrous metals in mixed-material applications. BONDERITE® L‑MR 21718 is suitable for virtually all machining operations, including grinding, turning, drilling, milling, thread cutting, and honing. Its excellent lubricity extends tool life and reduces process costs. In addition, its strong cleaning performance ensures cleaner machines and helps reduce maintenance costs.

APNR -APPLIKATION

The corrosion resistance of coated parts depends on factors such as substrate, pretreatment, water quality, coating quality, curing, and plant design. Improving corrosion resistance often requires major investments in pretreatment systems.
These costs can be avoided with the BONDERITE® E-AP APNR PANEL (Adhesion Promoter No Rinse) system. It uses a spray/fogging unit to apply a passivation solution to the substrate without rinsing. This enhances corrosion resistance—significantly outperforming iron phosphating—by applying the solution at the end of the pretreatment process.
Key features:
  • Operates at room temperature
  • No bath monitoring required
  • High flexibility
  • Low investment and installation costs
